I moved to IMJ-PRG in January 2017!

During the week October 9-13, we will have the visit of Sebastian Gutsche and Sebastian Posur from the University of Siegen. They have just finished their PhD theses with Mohamed Barakat. They work in constructive category theory. They have developed a GAP package called CAP (Categories, Algorithms and Programming). With it, you can define abelian categories and take quotients by Serre subcategories! This allows, for example, very efficient computations of cohomology of coherent sheaves on projective or toric varieties.

There will be two events related to their visit:
