Aim of the Workshop
Current mathematical research has a vast and growing structure, fragmented into over a multitude of narrow specialities. However experienced scholars know that outstanding results in this discipline have been achieved only broadening the perspective and combining different approaches.
Control Theory and its Applications make no exception to this paradigm. In particular, the classical and fruitful interplay between analysis and geometry has an undeniably crucial role for significant progress in this area of Mathematics.
This Workshop aims at reaffirming this effective line of thought, paying an affectionate homage to two prominent protagonists of this challenging adventure: Hélène Frankowska and Hector J. Sussmann.
