Gotthold Eisenstein (1823-1852) received his PhD in Berlin (1846) and gave several lectures for students.

J. P.G. Dirichlet (1805-1859); Prof. Berlin, 1826-1855.

Bernhard Riemann (1826-1866); student in Berlin, 1847-1849. Attended lectures by Dirichlet, Jacobi and Eisenstein.

Carl G. Jacobi (1804-1851); Prof. Berlin.

Ernst Kummer (1810-1893); Prof. Berlin (starting 1855).

August Crelle (1780-1855). Founder in 1826 and Editor-in-chief of the first 52 volumes of the main mathematical journal of its time. Published all early papers by Abel and Eisenstein.
